Add Notes on the + menu opens My Journal—a free-text space separate from symptom and life-factor cards. You can save multiple notes per calendar day, edit or delete saved entries, and find notes in Reports history and CSV export (not PDF).

What journal notes are

  • Free-text notes tied to one calendar date—not intensity cards or yes/no toggles.
  • Multiple notes per day—each Save appends a new entry under Notes, newest first.
  • Add Notes on the + menu opens a screen titled My Journal.
  • Notes can also come from wellness tools (Breathe, Grounding) with source attribution on each row.
  • Symptoms and Life factors summary grids below the composer are read-only shortcuts to Daily Tracking.

For the expanded + menu layout and how Track Period and Track Symptoms route, see Adding a log entry (plus button).

Save a new note or discard

01
Save
The header Save button enables when the composer has text. Tap Save to append a new note under Notes and clear the composer.
02
Add another
Save does not dismiss the screen—you can write and save another note on the same calendar day.
03
X
Tap the header X to discard unsaved composer text and return to the previous screen. Saved notes are unchanged.
04
Saved notes
Each saved row shows your text plus an attribution line (Journal · date). Tool-sourced notes show Breathe or Grounding instead of Journal.
05
Date header only
My Journal shows the top date row only—there is no weekly date scroller on this screen.

Edit or delete a saved note

01
Swipe
Swipe trailing on a saved Notes row to reveal actions.
02
Edit
Tap the pen icon to open the Edit note sheet with Cancel and Save in the toolbar.
03

Tap the trash icon to open a Delete note alert. Confirming removes the entry—this cannot be undone.
05
Cancel

Logging notes for yesterday or another past day? Change the date in the header first—see Editing or updating a past day.

02
PDF report
The clinician PDF report does not currently include journal entries. See Exporting a report (PDF) for what the PDF covers.
03
Full export steps
For choosing data groups, time range, and sharing CSV files, see Export your data (CSV).
🔒Journal entries sync through your private iCloud with other daily logs—they are not stored on Red Tent servers. Deleting a note is permanent on your synced data. CSV files can leave your device when you share them—choose destinations you trust. Optional research sharing does not include individual journal text.
