Use this guide to open in-app legal documents and the privacy explainer—not as a substitute for the full policies. Your cycle and symptom data stay in your private iCloud unless you separately turn on Research Data Sharing.
Quick path: Privacy Policy in Settings
Three different destinations in Settings
- Legal & Privacy — Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, website links, and Your Compliance ID when shown.
- Your Data — Import · Export · Delete for backups and on-device removals (not the same as Delete Account).
- Research Data Sharing — Optional anonymized research opt-in and notice; separate from daily iCloud tracking and not a substitute for the Privacy Policy.
Other documents on Legal & Privacy
After Sign in with Apple, you accept Terms and Privacy during onboarding before profile setup—not from the Legal & Privacy re-read screen. See Accepting Terms and Conditions for that flow.
How we protect your data (welcome sheet)
Before sign-in, tap How we protect your data on the welcome screen to open How we keep your data private—a short explainer, not the full legal documents.
- Stays in your iCloud — Cycle, symptoms, and journal entries sync through your private iCloud — never our servers. Optional Research Data Sharing is separate: anonymized contribution only, as described in the Research Data Sharing Notice and Privacy Policy.
- We never see your name, profile information, or health data. Premium server features run on anonymized identifiers.
- Community on your terms — Post or comment as your username or anonymously — your choice each time.
- You control everything — Export PDF, delete your account, or revoke research sharing — anytime in Settings.
Delete Account in the Account section removes your signed-in account per the Privacy Policy. Your Data (Import · Export · Delete) handles backups and deletes on your device—a different scope.
Where your data is stored
Below the Research Data Sharing and Your Data rows, the footer explains that your data is stored securely on your device and synced privately with your iCloud. For sync behavior, see Data storage and iCloud.
