Our Guides walk through every screen in the app, with numbered steps and screenshots.
Getting started
Yes. Core cycle and symptom tracking, education articles, how-to guides, the in-app resource library, and browsing the research catalog (titles, authors, links) are free. Premium unlocks advanced reports, clinical PDF export, full community access, all education articles, research AI summaries, and push alerts when new PMDD papers are added.
Red Tent PMDD is for adults 18 and older. It is a tracking and awareness tool — not a diagnostic or treatment device. If you are concerned about your symptoms, talk with a licensed healthcare provider.
No. Many people start before they have a diagnosis, to log patterns over time and bring clearer evidence to a clinician. During onboarding you can share where you are in that process, or skip it entirely.
Yes. During onboarding — or later from Settings → Your Data — you can import cycle history from Apple Health, or enter your last period manually.
Account & sign-in
Red Tent PMDD uses Sign in with Apple. Your Apple ID keeps your account secure without us ever seeing your Apple password.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used originally and that iCloud is enabled for Red Tent PMDD on your device. If you still cannot access your account, email support@redtentpmdd.com with the Apple ID email (not your health logs) and we will help.
Privacy & data
No. Your cycle logs, symptoms, and journal entries stay on your device and in your private iCloud account. We do not operate a central health database we could browse — that is by architecture, not just policy.
We keep a pseudonymous account record (for example, a hashed Apple User ID) so the app can authenticate you and honor consent choices. That record is separate from your health logs. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Health data in your private iCloud remains under your control until you delete it from Settings → Your Data inside the app. Deleting the app alone does not automatically erase iCloud copies.
No ads, no data selling, and no third-party health analytics — ever. See our privacy story for how the architecture works.
Tracking & reports
No. Red Tent PMDD helps you track cycles and symptoms so you can spot patterns and prepare for conversations with a clinician. It does not diagnose conditions or recommend treatments.
Open Reports → Export, choose a date range, and generate a PDF summary of your cycle and symptoms. Premium includes clinical export. See our step-by-step export guide.
Yes. In Track Period, tap any date to adjust it. Editing the current in-progress cycle has some limitations — the app will explain those in context.
Research
No. Browsing the research feed in the app or reading papers on this website does not upload your tracking data or link articles to your symptoms.
Free: browse the full research catalog, read bibliographic details, and see in-app banners when new papers are added. Premium: AI-generated plain-language summaries on paper detail screens and optional push notifications for new research (Settings → Notifications).
Research Data Sharing is a separate, optional program you turn on in Settings. It is off by default, not tied to Premium, and you can revoke consent any time. Read the full notice in our Research Data Sharing policy.
Subscription & billing
Premium is optional. New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial, then $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year (USD), billed through your Apple ID. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Red Tent PMDD to manage or cancel. You keep access through the end of the current billing period.
Install Red Tent PMDD, sign in with the same Apple ID, and use Restore Purchases in the app (or Apple’s subscription settings). Premium follows your Apple ID, not a separate Red Tent account password.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Red Tent PMDD directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Community
You choose a display name and can post anonymously on a per-post basis. Other members see your posts — never your private tracking data. Anonymous posts still support safety tooling like blocking and reporting.
We enforce Community Guidelines against harassment, spam, and harmful content. Report any post from its menu. The community is peer support — not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US).
