Each calendar day has its own symptom and life-factor log in Red Tent. Log from Home or Track Symptoms on the + menu—everything saves to the date in the header, which Reports uses later.

What you are logging

  • Symptoms and life factors save to one daily log per calendar date.
  • Some items are yes or no for that day; others use an intensity scale from Not at all through Extreme.
  • Daily journal notes are separate—use Add Notes for free text on the + menu.
  • Which symptoms and life factors appear is set in tracking preferences, not on this screen.

Start from Home — Daily check-ins

In the app

Open Red Tent PMDD to see the live screen walkthrough for this step.

Download the app
01
Date header
Scroll to the calendar day you want. Cards and Add rows on Home apply to that date. Tap Go to Today when you want to return to today’s Home.
02
Daily check-ins
The Symptoms and Life Factors sections show what you logged for the selected day—up to three item cards per type, each with its current value.
03
Add
When nothing is logged yet for a type, tap Add under that type to open Daily Tracking with the matching pill pre-selected.
04
Add more
Once at least one item is logged for a type, Add more appears in the row (alongside up to three cards) to open Daily Tracking the same way.
05
See all
When more than three items are logged for a type, tap See all to open Reports item history for the Home date only—not the full Reports tab overview.
06
Item card
Tap a filled card to open that item in Reports with six cycles of detail.

Only use the + menu? Jump here.

From the + button on the tab bar

01
+
Tap the center + on the tab bar to open the add log options sheet.
02
Track Symptoms
Opens Daily Tracking on the main stack. The Symptoms pill is selected by default; switch to Life Factors on the same screen if needed.
03
Date header
Same date header as on Home—scroll to another calendar day before you edit so every tap applies to the date shown.
Everything you save is tied to the calendar day in the header. Change the date to catch up on yesterday or fix an entry without mixing days together.

  • To change which categories and items appear here, see the tracking preferences help article.

After you log — Home and Reports

01
Home
Newly logged items appear under Daily check-ins for that date. A fourth or later item for one type is only available through See all for that section.
02
Reports
From Home, See all or a filled item card opens symptom or life-factor history for that day or item. For charts and the broader Reports tab, see the Reports overview help.
Your daily logs sync with your Apple ID through iCloud when iCloud is enabled on your device—they are not stored on Red Tent servers. Journal notes from Add Notes follow the same boundary. Optional research data sharing is separate, revocable anytime in Settings.
