PMDD Diagnosis Tracker is the DSM-5-oriented guided check-in on Home—a separate continue panel from Daily Check-in, with a fixed clinical card deck and a cycle badge when Duration is 3 Cycles. This article covers the Home panel and check-in flow only, not Settings card editing.

How it differs from Daily Check-in

This article covers only PMDD Diagnosis Tracker—not the Daily check-ins tracking rows above it, not the Daily Check-in continue panel, and not the standalone DSM-5 IMPACT row (that row hides while this tracker is enabled with impact cards in its deck).
  • PMDD Diagnosis Tracker uses a fixed DSM-5-oriented card deck you cannot edit in Settings—only reminder schedule and duration.
  • Its Home continue panel shows the PMDD DIAGNOSIS TRACKER eyebrow instead of DAILY CHECK-IN.
  • When Duration is 3 Cycles, the panel shows a Cycle logged/needed badge and completion tracks cycles toward a diagnosis report.
  • Cards include DSM-5 symptom groups (for example mood, irritability, anxiety), period flow, sleep, cravings, and—when you log qualifying symptoms—impact questions D1 through D3 inside the same flow.
  • Daily Check-in uses a customizable card deck and no cycle badge—see Completing daily check-ins for that flow.

Open the PMDD continue panel

In the app

Open Red Tent PMDD to see the live screen walkthrough for this step.

Download the app
01
Home
Open the Home tab on the bottom bar.
02
Date header
Confirm the calendar day you want—the check-in saves to the date shown. Future dates hide check-in panels.
03
Daily check-ins
Scroll past the Symptoms and Life Factors tracking rows. The PMDD panel sits below them with other continue panels.
04
PMDD DIAGNOSIS TRACKER
The section eyebrow labels this panel—separate from any Daily Check-in panel on the same day.
05
LET'S BEGIN TODAY'S CHECK-IN
When you have not started this tracker today, this inner eyebrow appears above the next card title.
06
CONTINUE WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
After you log at least one card, the inner eyebrow switches to this label.
07
Next card title row with chevron
Tap the row showing the next incomplete card title and chevron—not the outer PMDD DIAGNOSIS TRACKER header—to open the check-in carousel.

Cycle badge on the panel

01
Cycle 1/3
When Duration is set to 3 Cycles in Check-in Configurations, a capsule on the right of the panel header shows Cycle logged/needed—for example Cycle 1/3.
02
No badge
When Duration is Ongoing or 30 Days, the cycle capsule does not appear—the tracker still runs, but without cycle progress toward a report.
03
Completion screen
After you finish every card for the day with 3 Cycles duration, the completion screen adds a CYCLES TOWARD REPORT stat beside your day streak.
A cycle counts toward the badge only when most days in that completed cycle have every phase-visible card done—not just days you opened the app. Short cycles under eight days do not count.

Inside the check-in flow

The flow opens as a full-screen carousel—the same navigation pattern as Daily Check-in. Use Cancel to leave mid-session; logs you already entered stay saved for the Home date.

01
Cancel
Tap Cancel in the top bar to leave. Cards you already saved remain logged for that date.
02
PMDD DIAGNOSIS TRACKER
The flow header repeats this label and shows how many cards remain—for example, 4 to complete.
03
Progress dots
Dots above the carousel track which flow steps are done, current, or still ahead for the date in Home's header.
04
Swipe
Swipe left or right to move between cards—the same as Back and Next at the bottom.
05
Back
Use Back at the bottom to move to the previous card.
06
Next
Tap Next to advance. If you already logged on the current card, Next marks it complete first; completed cards are skipped.
07
Done
When every card in the tracker is complete for the day, Done finishes the session and opens the completion screen.
08
Nothing logged on this card
If you move forward with no logs on a card, the same confirmation sheet as Daily Check-in appears—None of these or Log as not at all, or Skip for now.

DSM-5 symptom cards

In the app

Open Red Tent PMDD to see the live screen walkthrough for this step.

Download the app

The preview shows the intensity scale pattern; in the PMDD carousel it appears inline on DSM-5 cards with no Save or Cancel sheet.

01
Period Flow
On menstrual-phase days, log any bleeding or tap No bleeding when you had none.
02
DSM-5 symptom cards
Cards such as mood swings, irritability, depression, and anxiety group related symptoms. Choose Not at all through Extreme on the inline selector; the value saves immediately and the flow may auto-advance.
03
Sleep and Cravings
These cards follow the same multi-item or intensity pattern as other tracker cards—tap each item or use bulk pills such as None of these when nothing applies.
04
Card icon on Home
The continue panel shows an icon from the next card—DSM-5 criterion art for clinical cards, or a trackable item icon for others.

Impact cards in this flow

When you log at least mild intensity on qualifying DSM-5 B or C symptoms that day, the flow adds impact cards D1 through D3—about productivity, hobbies and social life, and relationships. They use the same intensity selector and save like other cards.

01
D1–D3 cards
Appear in the carousel after symptom activation—not as a separate DSM-5 IMPACT panel on Home while this tracker is enabled.
02
No impact cards today
If no qualifying symptoms are logged, D cards stay out of the deck for that date.

Reminders and duration

01
Check-in Configurations
In Settings, open Check-in Configurations and tap PMDD Diagnosis Tracker to change Reminder Schedule or Duration. Cards stay read-only.
02
3 Cycles
Choose this duration to turn on the cycle badge and CYCLES TOWARD REPORT progress—typical for diagnosis tracking.
03
Toggle off
Pause the tracker on Home without deleting its setup—the panel and reminders stop until you enable it again.
Reminder times in Check-in Configurations work with Notifications in Settings. A tap on a check-in reminder opens this same flow—see the Notifications help article.

When you finish a session

01
You showed up.
When every card is complete, the completion screen shows this headline with your day streak stat.
02
CYCLES TOWARD REPORT
With 3 Cycles duration, a second stat shows logged cycles out of three—for example 1 of 3.
03
Back to home
Tap Back to home to dismiss and return to Home with refreshed check-in status.
04
Take a few minutes to breathe
Optional—opens a short breathing exercise from the completion screen, then returns you there.
Tracking supports conversations with a healthcare provider—it does not diagnose PMDD in the app. For broader PMDD context, see PMDD and tracking in help.
  • To change schedule, duration, or pause the tracker, see Check-in configurations.
