Switching Apple ID means signing into Red Tent PMDD with a different Apple ID than your current session. The app clears the previous user's local copy on this device, keeps each account's health data in its own private iCloud, and loads the new Apple ID's dataset after sync.
đEach Apple ID has its own private iCloud database in Red Tent. Switching accounts is not the same as Delete Accountâpermanent removal is a separate flow.
What switching means
- Your Red Tent session is bound to the Apple ID from Sign in with Appleâthere is no separate Red Tent password.
- When the app detects a different Apple ID during sign-in, it clears the previous user's local app data on this device.
- Health logs for each Apple ID stay in that Apple ID's private iCloudâthey are not merged across accounts.
- After initial CloudKit sync, a returning Apple ID sees its synced logs; a first-time Apple ID may continue to profile setup.
For how your account identity works, see Your account and Sign in with Apple.

Switching is not deleting your account
- Switching â use a different Apple ID. Each account's logs remain in that Apple ID's private iCloud for when you sign in again.
- Sign Out â ends your session only. It does not permanently remove your account or iCloud data.
- Delete Account â permanently removes your Red Tent profile and associated data. See Delete your account before choosing this path.
âŠTo use the same account on another iPhone or iPad, sign in with the same Apple IDâno switch needed. See Data storage and iCloud for how private sync works across devices.
