Bookmark posts you want to read again and find them in Community's Saved sub-tab. This article covers saving, browsing, and removing bookmarks—not Explore browsing, composing posts, or the My Posts editor.
Open Saved
01
Community
Open Community from the bottom tab bar. If this is your first visit, accept Community rules before the feed loads—see the Community tab overview.
02
Saved
Tap Saved in the sub-tab row after Explore and My Posts. The feed shows only posts you bookmarked, sorted by post date with the newest first.
03
Add-post icon
On Saved, the header add-post icon beside the Community title still opens the compose sheet—the same entry as on Explore. See Creating a post for writing and publishing.
Save a post
01
Bookmark
On any post card in Explore, My Posts, or Saved, tap the bookmark control on the right. The icon fills when the post is saved to your Saved list.
02
Saved
Switch to Saved to confirm the post appears in your list. Bookmarking is immediate on the device; background sync updates the list when iCloud finishes.
Browse your saved posts
01
Saved
Scroll the Saved feed to read bookmarked posts. Each card shows the same layout as on Explore—see Exploring posts for card details.
02
Pull to refresh
Pull down on the feed to refresh your saved list. A refresh runs for the active sub-tab.
03
Saved
When you reach your last visible card, the app loads the next page automatically if more bookmarked posts exist. A spinner appears at the bottom while pages load.
04
You've reached the end!
When pagination ends, a footer reads You've reached the end! On Saved, the subtitle reads You've seen all your saved posts.
Remove a bookmark
01
Bookmark
Tap the filled bookmark control on a post card to remove it from Saved. The icon unfills immediately; pull down to refresh on Saved or switch sub-tabs and return to update the list.
02
Saved
Removing a bookmark does not delete the original post from Community feeds. If the author deletes their post, your bookmarked copy may disappear on the next sync.
When you have no saved posts
01
No saved posts
When you have not bookmarked any posts, Saved shows an empty state with a bookmark icon and the title No saved posts.
02
Bookmark posts you want to save for later.
The subtitle reads Bookmark posts you want to save for later. Start by switching to Explore or My Posts and tapping the bookmark control on a post card.
03
Saved
Return to Saved after you bookmark at least one post—the empty state clears and your saved cards appear in the list.
🔒Bookmark records sync privately with your Apple ID through iCloud—they are not stored on Red Tent servers for MVP. Post text and images in feeds still live in the CloudKit Public Database. If an author deletes a post, your bookmark may drop when sync updates; Saved is a personal reading list, not a permanent archive.
Likes and comments on saved posts work the same as on Explore—see Comment threads. Community rules and reporting tools apply to every post you read in Saved.
