Explore is the public feed of Community posts from all members, sorted newest first. This article covers browsing post cards on Explore—refresh, pagination, reactions, images, and safety menus—not the My Posts or Saved sub-tabs (see Community tab overview first).
Start on Explore
01
Community
Open Community from the bottom tab bar. If this is your first visit, accept Community rules before the feed loads—see the Community tab overview.
02
Explore
Tap Explore in the sub-tab row. The app opens Explore by default unless you arrived via a deep link to another sub-tab.
03
Community
Scroll the feed to read posts. Re-tap the Community tab while you are already on Community to jump back to the top of the active feed.
What each post shows
- Avatar — a circular profile image on the left; anonymous posts may show your local profile image when the post is yours.
- Author name — a display name when the member chose not to post anonymously; otherwise the label reads Anonymous User.
- Timestamp — a relative time (for example, 2h) beside the author name.
- Body text — the post content below the header row.
- Image grid — optional; up to four images in a Twitter-style layout when the post includes photos.
Scroll, refresh, and load more
01
Explore
Scroll down to read older posts. When you reach the last visible card, the app loads the next page automatically if more posts exist.
02
Explore
Pull down on the feed to refresh for newer public posts. A refresh runs for the active sub-tab.
03
Explore
While more pages load, a spinner appears at the bottom of the list.
04
You've reached the end!
When pagination ends, a footer reads You've reached the end! On Explore, the subtitle reads Pull to refresh for new posts.
Like, comment, and bookmark
01
Like
Tap the heart control to toggle your reaction. The label reads Like when the count is zero, or shows the count with Like or Likes when others have reacted.
02
Comment
When a post has comments, a count appears beside the comment icon. Tap it to open the Comments sheet—see Comment threads for replies and safety tools.
03
Comment as
When no comment count shows, use the Comment as … bar below the post to open the same Comments sheet or start typing inline.
04
Bookmark
Tap the bookmark control on the right to save the post to Saved. Tap again to remove it—see Saved posts for the Saved sub-tab.
✦The heart label may read Like or Likes in English until full localization ships—the filled heart still means you reacted.
Post images
01
Post images
When a post includes photos, a grid appears below the body—one image full width, or two to four images in a compact layout.
02
Post images
Tap any image in the grid to open a full-screen carousel. Swipe between images and dismiss to return to the feed.
More menu on others' posts
01
Report Post
On someone else's post, tap the overflow menu (⋯) in the header row. Choose Report Post to open the private report sheet—see Reporting posts and comments for reasons and next steps.
02
Block Anonymous User
From the same menu, choose Block Anonymous User when the author posted anonymously, or Block @username when a display name is shown.
03
Edit
On your own posts in Explore, the overflow menu shows Edit and Delete Post instead of Report Post or Block—see Managing My Posts for those actions.
🔒Report and block affect what you see in your feeds—they do not remove the post globally for every member. Blocks and reports sync privately with your Apple ID through iCloud.
Ready to share? Use the header add-post icon on Explore to open the compose sheet—see Creating a post. Author avatars and names on Explore are display-only today; community profile settings explain how display names and anonymous posting work.
