AboutLearnGuidesResearchSupportPressDownload

Home surfaces education articles and research papers under Recommended for You—separate from the in-app help spotlight row. See how items are picked on your device, open or bookmark a card, and jump to the full Education or Research catalog.

What Education and Research suggestions are

  • Recommended for You — section header on Home below daily check-ins and the continue panel
  • Education — sub-header row with See all and a horizontal carousel of up to three education cards
  • Research — sub-header row with See all and a vertical list of up to two research cards
  • Each card shows a title, bookmark icon, and optional New badge when the item is recent and unopened
  • Get the best out of Red Tent PMDD — a separate help spotlight row below Education and Research; not covered here
  • Recommended for You hides when Education, Research, and spotlight rows would all be empty

Find Recommended for You on Home

In the app

Open Red Tent PMDD to see the live screen walkthrough for this step.

Download the app
01
Home
Open the Home tab on the bottom bar.
02
Scroll
Move down past the date header, cycle tracker, hormone chart, and Daily check-ins to Recommended for You.
03
Recommended for You
Section header for Education, Research, and the help spotlight rows.
04
Education
First sub-row under Recommended for You—See all on the right, horizontal carousel of cards below.
05
Research
Second sub-row—See all on the right, full-width research cards stacked vertically below.

Education cards scroll horizontally—up to three at a time. Research cards appear as a vertical strip of up to two suggested articles, not a horizontal carousel. Premium education items may show a lock overlay on the card.

How items are picked

  • Ranking runs entirely on your device from the bundled catalog—not from logged symptoms, cycle phase, or Red Tent servers
  • Education — the app prefers items you have opened less often, then those you have not seen in a while, then newer published articles; the top pool is shuffled each time recommendations load
  • Research — recommended research picks use a richer on-device model that balances recency, how often you have opened items, citation strength, and category variety
  • New badge — appears when content was published within the last 14 days and you have not opened its detail view yet
  • Open a resource detail — clears New badge eligibility for that item
  • Pull-to-refresh on Home — reshuffles recommendation variety; it does not download new catalog content from servers

Resources
The app switches to the Resources tab automatically.
03
Education or Research
The matching sub-tab opens with that resource detail—navigation stack is replaced, not an in-place sheet on Home.
04
Back
Back returns within the Resources stack; Home scroll position is not restored automatically.

Education sub-tab opens with category sections and horizontal carousels—the same library as Home suggestions.
04
See all
Tap See all on the Research sub-row instead to open the full Research catalog.

Picks remember card impressions, taps, and detail opens on this device (synced with iCloud when enabled)—not your logged symptoms. Bookmarking saves items for later but does not change how future suggestions are ranked.

The Get the best out of Red Tent PMDD row below Education and Research surfaces one in-app help article at a time—that is a separate spotlight pick. See Help tips on Home for that row.
