Choose how many recent cycles—or a custom date range—Reports uses on Overview and Export Report. The pill row at the top of Overview filters every summary, chart, and history card; Export Report inherits the same range when you open it from the header share icon.
What cycle range does
- Scopes on-device summaries for Overview stats, trends, phases, symptomatic days, and symptom or life-factor history.
- Uses the same selection for Export Report preview and PDF when you change cycle range on the export screen.
- Applies for this session only—Reports defaults to 6 cycles on the next app launch; cycle range is not saved in Settings.
- Custom Analysis Weekly, Monthly, and Custom timeframe pills are separate—see the Custom Analysis help article.
Change cycle range on Overview
01
Reports
Tap Reports in the bottom tab bar.
02
Overview
Stay on Overview—the default sub-tab when Reports opens (not Custom Analysis).
03
Cycle range
At the top, tap 1 cycle, 3 cycles, 6 cycles, 12 cycles, or Custom. Overview reloads summary cards, trends, phases, symptomatic days, and history for your pick.
04
Date span
Below the pills, the left side shows how many cycles are included; the right shows the covered dates (Jan 5 – Feb 3 style).
Preset cycle counts (1, 3, 6, 12)
- 1 cycle — narrowest window; useful when you want only the most recent complete cycle.
- 3 cycles — short-term pattern check across a few recent cycles.
- 6 cycles — app default when Reports opens or after you cancel Custom with no dates set yet.
- 12 cycles — longest preset for broader trends across a year of cycles.
Pick a custom date range
01
Custom
Tap Custom on Overview or Export Report to choose calendar dates instead of a fixed cycle count. Tap Custom again later to reopen the picker.
02
Select Date Range
A sheet opens with a calendar. Before you pick dates, the Custom pill may show Select Custom Range as placeholder text.
03
Done
Choose a start date and an end date, then tap Done. Overview or the export preview carousel refreshes for those dates.
04
Custom range sheet
Tap X to dismiss without applying. If you had not confirmed a custom range yet, the selector returns to 6 cycles.
What updates when the range changes
- Average Period and Average Cycle summary cards.
- Cycle and Period Length Trends chart.
- Phase breakdown rows.
- Symptomatic days section (may show its own loading indicator while it reloads).
- Symptom and life-factor history cards (up to six items each).
Narrow or new ranges with little logged data may show Nothing to show for this range. Log more periods and daily symptoms, then widen the range or pick a preset with more cycles.
Cycle range on Export Report
01
Share icon
From Reports, tap the square-and-arrow-up icon in the header. There is no Export Report label on that button.
02
Export Report
The export screen opens with a Cycle Range section and the same pill row as Overview.
03
Cycle Range
On arrival, the range matches Overview. Change any pill or tap Custom to regenerate the preview carousel.
For generating and sharing the PDF, see the Export Report help article.
Custom Analysis uses its own Weekly, Monthly, and Custom timeframe pills—not the Overview cycle range. See the Custom Analysis help article for chart windows and item selection.
✦Cycle range resets to 6 cycles when you restart the app, and opening Reports from a Home trackable-item card also starts at 6 cycles—not your last Overview pick. Range-filtered stats summarize what you logged on this device; they help you spot patterns to discuss with a clinician, not for self-diagnosis.
